Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 9, 2026

1. Our commitment

Cohera AI ("Cohera") wants every candidate and every hiring team to be able to use our platform. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA for the candidate interview portal, the scheduling pages, the assessment workspaces (coding, ML, system design and take-home) and the employer application, and we treat accessibility fixes as product defects.

2. Current status

Cohera is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: most of the platform meets the standard, but some content and features do not yet.

What works today:

  • forms, dialogs and controls are operable from the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator;
  • images and icons that carry meaning have text alternatives.

Known gaps:

  • No text-based interview channel yet. Live AI interviews are spoken: the interviewer asks questions by voice and you answer by voice. A typed-answer format is not yet available in the product; it is arranged manually on request (see below).
  • No built-in extra-time control yet. Interview and assessment durations are set by the employer, and there is not yet a self-service way to extend them. Extra time is arranged manually on request.
  • A camera is required for live AI interviews. Interviews are video calls that are recorded for the hiring team's review. A camera-off format is arranged manually on request.
  • Live interviews and assessments require a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and microphone, running a current version of Chrome or Edge. Phones and tablets are not supported.
  • Screen-sharing is required for coding and design assessments. You must share your entire screen for the duration of the assessment.

3. Requesting an accommodation

If you need an accommodation for an interview or assessment — extra time, a text-based or camera-off format, a different day, or anything else — email support@coheraai.com or use the "Contact the hiring team" link on your scheduling or interview page. Requests are forwarded to the employer, who decides on accommodations, and we help arrange them.

Please tell us the employer, the role, and what would help. You do not need to explain why.

4. Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on Cohera, or have a suggestion, email support@coheraai.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to fix confirmed barriers as a priority.
